Sizing: plan for the wash
Most modern chenille robes are polyester and shrink very little, but knit chenille relaxes and tightens unpredictably in hot water, and cotton chenille can shrink a full size. Two rules keep you safe:
- Buy by measurements, not letter size. Compare the listed shoulder-to-hem length and the sleeve length against a robe you own. Mid-calf is roughly 48–52" of length for average heights.
